Very busy on a Saturday night. They food was good and came from the kitchen fresh and quickly but the waitress had too much going on and had to be waved down each time someone at our table needed something. We sat close to the bar and just got in line several times but this resulted in having more than one tab open. It was a pleasant experience if we didn't want any real service.

Food was good. Kitchen service was slow. Reasonably priced. I have never been required to give up my ID for a tab with my credit card, but tonight a manager said they don’t always require their employees to follow policy. Left and didn't give up my ID.

So disappointed with today's service. Went in a couple of weeks ago and everything was great, the pork tenderloin and service. Today, different story. Server didn't acknowledge us as we waited to be served. After searching for someone to take care of us a worker sent our server and acted as if she was doing us a favor. I was so looking forward in trying the pulled pork sandwich but I just had to walk out as I was so disgusted with this server. She brings us drinks with no straws, I waited but then decided to go get a straw from the bar. She comes back all snarky. Were still waiting for her to open the pool table as she said to give her a minute and I guess she forgot because I had to flag her down again. I was wanting to go tomorrow for the Scimeca's Italian sausage sandwich but now I'm having second thoughts. Hoping its not the same staff on Thursdays. Just wanting to support local businesses.

EDIT: Brass Rail's management and ownership went above and beyond to hear out our concerns, expressed their sincerest apologies, and offered to do what they could to make amends. We will be returning. Thank you for your professional handling of this situation and my family and I look forward to continuing to support this local business. I want to like this place and have frequented several times over the course of 5 years. Service has always been hit or miss. Consistently the bar tenders are much faster and more friendly than the wait staff. Got a table around 6pm on a Tuesday. (The following list of wait times is NOT exaggerated). Waited 20 minutes for a pitcher and was brought a single beer. Was charged for this beer at full price instead of happy hour price. Waited another 10 for an extra glass. Waited another 10 for our order to be taken. Still no apology or explanation for the wait time. Absolutely zero sense of urgency or desire to check on us from our server. She avoided eye contact several, several times. Wonderful tenderloin sandwich, which is why this is not a 1 star review. After waiting 15 for our second pitcher, for which we had to walk to the server to request, we decided to leave. No apology from server or manager on duty. Seemed possible they were slightly understaffed, and maybe she was just having a bad day? Either way, this was overwhelmingly one of the worst customer service experiences I've ever had. She did rush over to make sure we were going to pay our tab though (which we did at the bar). She at least cared about her tip :) And when I said we already tabbed out, thanks for checking, she provided a lovely bit of lip as she walked off despite the fact that we had been respectful, polite, and patient. If you don't mind being treated like your existence is an inconvenience for your server, come check this place out. Otherwise, get the tenderloin to-go and skip the drama.

Thank the maker! The weekend is upon us! What that means for me is that for the next three days I don't have to eat my cooking for my evening meal! So, to start this three-day Feast off I, stopped over at a place called The Brass Rail. Reading some local reviews, I see that this place has a mixed reputation. And the sad thing about it is I live so close to it and I almost never go there. Well tonight I change that! I went in after work and decided to try their Reuben sandwich with some onion rings instead of fries. I was not disappointed! I started it off with a beer from Martin City Brewery, Estrada de Terra, and with the first sip I thought to myself I need some cream and sugar to go with this coffee! A Smooth Dark beer with distinct notes of coffee that was easy to drink. Then they brought out my sandwich! On marble rye they layer freshly cut slices of corned beef. It was tender and succulent and fatty just as if they had freshly cut it off the brisket. To that they added some sauerkraut, some thousand island dressing, and some cheese. They then put the top of the sandwich on it. Walla! Culinary Heaven! For dessert I had a Cigar City dark Maduro Brown Ale, with delicious hints of chocolate it was bold yet smooth to the last drop. All in all, a very good start to the weekend! Well Done Brass Rail! Well Done Indeed!
