Our family has been participating with Sustaire's ATA for over 7 years now. The experience we have had with the Sustaire school in McKinney (as well as in Allen) has been excellent! The instructors are patient and attentive, while reinforcing the lessons of taekwondo and the discipline that mastering it requires. We've had a very positive experience through our years as a customer. Highly recommended!

If it’s possible I would give them -5 stars, not recommend at all. Mr. Osborn needs more experience to be an average teacher or a trainer. I was waiting to have all my anger relieved , so I can be realistic, and still I feel it’s not a healthy place for kids. I think Mr Osborn has some issues, and he thinks every kid over there should know how his mom was strict on him when he was a little boy, and other kids should have at least with him experience all sick discipline that he had before, and instead of complaining to parents about kids faults he took an action in front of everybody in the class on kids , even when he realized he was wrong , he done damage on the kids and his apology does not fix anything . When I wanted to take my son out of their class they charged me for 2 month because of their 2 month policy notes.

For an academy which named itself as karate for kids, you would think they would know how to train and encourage kids to be excited to learn karate. Sadly no! The guy who supervises the classes thinks barking at 4 year kids will get them to do so. There is a reason why this place has deals on Groupon all the time. You get what you pay for! The place felt like a packed poultry farm and is not an ideal place for kids.

Sustaire’s is an amazing environment for kids to learn Taekwondo, discipline, and respect. Mr Osborne is a stellar leader and earns the respect of his students. He is a near-perfect balance of fun and structure. He relates so well with the kids of all ages by connecting his lessons back to experiences from his own life that the kid’s can relate to. We put our son in to Taekwondo to help him learn physical respect for his body and to learn respect for authority and others. The results have been phenomenal. He has not only respect, but admiration for Mr Osborne, Chief Master Sustaire, and all the instructors that he works with - both in class and in private instruction. I HIGHLY recommend Karate for Kids. You won’t be disappointed!

My family and I recently moved to the area from Atlanta, GA and we actually found a home near Sustaire's ATA Karate for Kids so our kids could go to that school. We had been advised by family of the ATA founders that this is one of the best ATA taekwondo schools in the country. It has not disappointed! All the instructors and staff made us feel like family immediately. They have high standards and train the kids hard, but they're also very kind and encouraging and will do above and beyond to help any child along the way. The improvements in my kids' TKD skills, their discipline, respect and fitness are remarkable just in the six months we've been a part of the school. We were so impressed with how good the kids were getting and how much fun they were having, that my husband and I joined the team and now take their adult classes and compete alongside our kids at tournaments. We are so thankful for finding this school and highly recommend Chief Master Sustaire, Mr. Michael Osborn, and all the instructors and staff at Karate for Kids McKinney!
