I hired Kathleen to work on my restraining order case which was initially a retaliation case due to me putting one on the petitioner first. When I hired her, she felt fairly confident this case could be easily dropped, she understood I wanted this case dropped or dismissed as soon as possible so it can clear my record. I initially lost the case so I decided to hire a lawyer to appeal and get the case dismissed. She called me two days prior to the court date, with a complete different conversation than what our goal was. THIS IS THE MOST IMPORTANT PART TO READ: After she repeatedly said that if I just consent to the restraining order she SWORE she would shield the other restraining orders requests that were rejected and do it RIGHT AFTER OUR HEARING, I emailed her TWO WEEKS AFTER OUR HEARING and she responded stating she didn’t get to it yet but she’ll do to sometime soon. I checked back another two weeks later NO RESPONSE from her, another week after I went to the district court myself they said nothing has been filed at all. That’s 5 weeks! No promises kept when it comes to Kathleen. Do NOT hire this woman as your attorney, she picks and chooses which cases are more important (coming from my friend who previously worked for her). Don’t take that chance!

My first interaction with Kathleen showed me I did not want her to represent me. Your attorney is supposed to have your back and be informative for you. During the initial consult I had with her this evening she was extremely rude! She came right off questioning me \why in the hell\ I was doing what I had been cited for. Never have I heard an attorney speak like that who is trying to gain your business as their client and help you with your case. Not even my own mother speaks in such a way. Clearly she did not have time for my case if she was going to speak to me in those tones. Needless to say, that conversation was cut short and I put a giant X through her name on my list. Such unprofessionalism. No manners. She even bargained lowering her rate if I just \went with her first option\ but if I wanted her to work any harder for me she would charge me more. She was very outspoken with her lack of care and sincerity to help me in my situation. Move on, there are many better, more professional lawyers in this area!!
