Visited Detour a few weeks ago. Great place-the wine is very good, relaxing and friendly atmosphere and the property is in a great spot overlooking the mountains. The owner Dan and his wife Sarah are good people and made my experience fun and enjoyable. Will definitely be going again soon.

This place is a joke! I tried many times to visit and they are never open just like everyone says. They finally are open and the wine is not very good. It taste like it went bad like vinegar. We walked around and the vines look very overgrown and not maintained. Do NOT WASTE YOUR TIME AND MONEY!!! Rude staff too!

We visited the winery yesterday. I have to say we really enjoyed the stop! They have a lovely tasting room, our host was fun and informative. I really appreciated the wines and left with 4 bottles.

Visited Detour for a wine tasting with my girlfriend and was very pleasantly surprised with the facility, staff, and the wine. We sampled about 8 different wines and enjoyed nearly all of them. We're relatively new wine drinkers, but they were very helpful and friendly about it. The tasting room was modern, clean, and comfortable. The pricing for samples was very reasonable, and its nice that you pay and get tokens, and each wine costs a certain number of tokens - rather than one set sampling price for X number of wines (as many other wineries do). This way if you aren't sampling the expensive ice wines and ports, you aren't getting charged for them. We ended up buying several bottles and a few bricks of local cheese that they had for sale. They also had tables and games for the young ones. We're already looking forward to our next visit once the weather warms up some.

Amazing wines! The owner (Sarah) was very personal and making sure we enjoyed every sip.
