We are about half way through our first session here at KIDS FIRST Swim School and I could not be more happy or impressed. My husband and son are a part of the 'Daddy & Me/Mommy & Me" Swim classes and they are loving it! We thought my husband would be the only Dad participating in the class but that wasn't the case at all, lots of Dads were there with their kids which was great to see. The swim school clearly lays out the goals of each swim level in the hallway as well as in the pool area so that kids and adults can see what needs to be accomplished to successfully move through the program. If your child is struggling, the staff strongly encourage families to take advantage of the Family Swim Night on Saturday and Sunday 5-7pm. Last week, my husband and I took our son (1.5 years old) to the Family Swim Night on Sunday. We arrived promptly at 5pm and there were very few people there. It was great! We got to work with him on kicking his feet, getting comfortable with 'jumping' into the pool, and finally with going under the water. By around 6pm the pool had become more crowded, primarily in the shallow end but it was still a great time for all there. We highly recommend this school and would like the thank the staff for being so awesome!

The facility is great and the staff are very welcoming and good with the kids. My 4 year old is already swimming after just the first 6 weeks and has been honing her skills in the next level up. I've also done the mommy and me with my littliest one and I liked the incorporation of songs to keep the babies interested. Would recommend to anyone

Everyone at the school was so incredibly nice. The reason I only gave 3 stars is because I did'nt think the method of teaching worked for us. They teach based on levels and I think there are 8 levels. My daughter started in level 1 and it was so basic, walking around pool, playing with toys, climbing in and out of the pool, holding breath under the water for 5 seconds, floating. She got to level 2 after about 3 months, but in level 2 there is a huge focus on the kids going under water. I think there should've been more of a focus on kicking, and swimming skills and going under the water occasionally throughout class. My daughter came to hate this class so much I could'nt get her to go. My sons went to the ymca and they do a more balanced approached and both learned to swim within 4 and 6 months and loved the class. They changed up the classes so they did'nt get boring or predictable. At this school it's more of the same each week until they master a skill. I signed my daughter up for the ymca this session , 2 lessons in, and she already has way more confidence in the water and loves the class. She doesn't have to dunk her head a 100 times, only occassionally and she's also learning kicking and jumping. I think it depends on your child but for us it wasn't a good fit.

If you want to go to an actual school where your kid will learn as opposed to these stupid levels that they put them in, then don't waste your time here. We came here at the recommendation of friends, although we were apprehensive to come here at first due to the negative reviews. Through speaking over the phone upon enrollment we were told to put her in a level 2. They tell us after the first session, she was struggling and to downgrade her to level 1. Why would any school want to regress a child? After three more times of repeating level 2, we were sure she would move up bc she was able to float on her own. On the last day my daughter came out excited bc her instructor told her she would be diving, which is level 3. We went to reenroll her and were told she was not moving up. Why would the instructor tell my daughter that if she wasn't moving up? They started to blame my own year as a reason for not moving up. A child should not be repeating the same level five times when she is able to do everything in a level 2, why wouldn't you not move her up? They just want your money. Needless to say, we pulled her out of here and won't be coming back. What a big waste. Their approach here sucks. Go somewhere else.
