So here is thing. I am not usually posting online. The staff and stuff is good but the managers are not. I bought my step on binding at their Stowe store, super friendly staff, but they sold me last year model step on while they already have the new 2021 model in store. I was excited about it until my friend told me about it. However, they will not swap it out. Dang it. Paid full price for a last year’s model, huh? I am 6’2”, and the the stepon newer model will help with my calf pain but they just don’t care. Updated. The manger called and explained the detail. Size causes different heights of the binding. Update to four stars. It would be five if they could come and explain while you are in the store, and not after leaving reviews.

I always come to Darkside whether in killington or okemo, with problems, and then I leave with solutions and always very happy with the experience. Tucker did an amazing job explaining how I should set up my bindings and helped sort out a bunch of things - these folks really care and are avid boarders themselves, always have great tips on equipment Care and take the time to explain things (I had made a mistake with my binding setup that Tucker fixed). And just look at this base. I have a wax and iron at home and a scraper. I could never get my board to look like this, this is factory setup. Go to Darkside. Money well spent on good people. The folks at Darkside are so patient, knowledgeable, helpful and friendly! I found them incredibly thoughtful towards me and my concerns (safety, longevity, cost) when I came in to buy my first *new* snowboard after 20 years of riding. I don’t think I could have left more confident, excited and pleased about my purchases. They have a great selection and great sales! Highly recommend.

Very friendly knowledgeable staff. The store has everything you need for the family to have a fun day on the mountain. They've got one of my favorite selections of winter gear, boards, and cool stickers too. They organize snowboarding events for all ages and abilities. They are very supportive of and are much appreciated in the community. And, they have a free dark park for winter fun and a skate park during summer for all to work on those skills. If you're in town it's worth stopping by.
