The best mochi I’ve ever had from a historical Japanese bakery in Fresno. There’s an NPR story on this place and hardly anyone in Fresno knows it exists!

Oh my goodness. Billowy soft mochi sweetness melting in my mouth. Then the brightness of the huge slices of golden peaches. It was worth the trip from Sacramento to search for this gem of a place.
The store opened since 1903. Family owned. If you buy a dozen, if want they could wrapped it for you like a Christmas gift.
The BEST mochi I have ever had—so soft and fresh every time. I’m always excited to drive through Fresno and stop here. I love the mochi with fresh fruit as well as red bean, Lima bean, and new flavors with toffee and chocolate. I usually pick up a bunch before heading to Yosemite and these are great to eat before a big wall climb ;). It is a pleasure to support a business like this—check it out!

Heads up, cash only. Hand made mochi. A great variety and seasonal fillings when optional. When you enter, you will be greeted by a wonderful smile on the owner's face and the welcoming presence. Make sure you get there early or there may not be a selection left for you to choose from.
Just absolutely delightful mochi. Very fresh. Must try.
