Family-friendly garden with easy walking paths. They’re currently open during covid but you need to get advance tickets (15 for adults, there are student discounts) on their website. You can make reservations for up to the month ahead. The second Tuesday of each month is still free entry but you need advance tickets for that. Parking is free and available in their lot. Otherwise, there’s street parking available as well. There’s bathrooms available at the front (turn left then left). The cafe is open and serves light bites and drinks; there’s outdoor dining. The paths are all pretty flat and some are concrete, some are compact dirt. There are a lot of families with babies/small children. The atmosphere is very tranquil and the rose garden has a lot of benches in case you need to sit. The gardens are well maintained and there are plenty of signs that indicate where you are. Overall, this is a very pretty spot to get some fresh air for a couple of hours.

Beautiful walks along the fenced rose garden. (It needs to be protected, there are wildlife Deer that would eat the roses.) The paths are filled plant life and the old trees create a beautiful canopy. There is also a small train that parents and small children can ride!

Descanso Gardens was a perfect place to visit during the Pandemic. It's outside, and admission is being limited to ensure social distancing. The gardens are lovely, and the stroll through is peaceful. Our visit was in November, so I suspect there is alot more to see in warmer months. Parking is FREE. Admission is 15.00 for an adult or 5.00 for children 5-12 years old. Children under 5 years old are admitted for free. There are discounted Senior tickets available for 11.00. Wheelchairs are available at the Visitor Center. We had a fantastic time here- a place where people of all ages can enjoy nature.

The first time me and my family visited this place and we have a very positive experience, and we will came back for sure. It was a cloudy day, and 68F, so walking up and down the hills wasn’t that exhausting. We visited the place on Saturday, and it was busy, but there are many “hidden” trails and roads, so everyone one can enjoy the garden. Regardless if you have a large family with kids running around or you just want to have a peaceful time. There are many benches all over the garden to rest, meditate or just have a snack. Also, the guys done a great job with the pumpkin decorations in the garden.

A wonderful place with sections of different flower gardens. Highly recommended for a nice walk/ family outing. Great for kids.
