is the worst boat rental I've ever met!!! after 3 hours in the queue, I received information about an additional 500 deposit that I cannot ask for i still wait for deposit returned ! very not nice young lady...is not her business, so I don't care about the client, the young people do what they want to do.... no responsibility they should help and not come from grace nobody forces anyone to work I do not recommend it!

My wife and I went on a getaway to Lake Geneva on June 15th and we decided that instead of the tour cruise we'd rent a 18 foot speed boat. It was just under 300 for two hours.. I didn't mind it. When I gave the visa debit they asked me if I had a credit card instead because they like to put it on hold incase of any damages. Whatever. I told them that I don't like credit cards therefore I don't carry them. The young lady said that she would have to charge me an extra 200 bucks as a deposit and that I would get it returned to the card in 3 business days. Well it's the 27th and I haven't had it returned. I've called at least 5 times and am repeatedly told that there's no manager here but we will have them call you back. The boat ride was great but the business is unacceptable. I had to call my bank and have them reverse the charge. Poor customer service. I mean, how could you not have a manager on deck at a boat rental company? Really!
Did the 2 hour boat tour. Sat on the upper deck in plastic chairs. Kind of cheap for 35. Started to rain so guests had to lower the clear rain tarps to keep the rain out. No direction from the crew on how to do it. Took a while to figure out how to attach. Once we did crew member came and said we had to put them back up. We started to roll up the covers and she came back and said it was ok. At least I knew how to attach it this time. Tour gives great history of the homes and families that founded Lake Geneva.
Had so much fun on the speedboat we rented! We will definitely come back!
We had the most wonderful day on Lake Geneva thanks to Elmer's Boat Rental. Kent and Alex set us up with a brand new beautiful NauticStar Deck boat. We have been boating all our lives and this boat handled beautifully through the Lake Geneva chop and wakes. It was a joy to have such a clean, smooth boat to enjoy for the afternoon. The staff was extremely helpful and everything was clean and operated well. We will be renting from Elmer's again.
