My entire family had initially rented a house boat on lake Billy Chinook. One week before we were to board we gat a call saying our boat blew up. So we were lucky to find lake Roosevelt, and they had a open spot. Although we spent more money and our drive went from 3 hours to 7 hours... It was totally worth it! Best vacation ever! Every day was truly full of adventure! Weather was great, wildlife everywhere, and the lake was perfect. Even though we just got back less then a week ago.. we are already planning a trip to go there again next year. If anybody is not sure if it's worth it... I'm telling you.. it's worth every penny, every minute stuck in the car. Just do it! It's a adventure of a lifetime! We will be back soon.

This was our second time for the seven bay marina restaurant in a year. It is open Thursday thru Sunday only from may to September. Hours are 11 am to 8 PM. They do not take reservations. We had to wait for 20 minutes today for a table. There is a small store and gift shop connected with the restaurant so time went quickly. The best part of tonight's visit was the crew working the floor. Pleasant, smiling very attentive to all the customers an A for them. I think they were a bit overwhelmed as the place was packed. That being said the food was adequate. 3 of the 4 of us said the food was bland and lacked flavor. The shrimp on the skewer was almost burned. The pasta was just cooked and not drained as the bowl it was served in had a half inch of water in the bowl as you ate down the pasta. A year ago the food was excellent. Today not so great. As far as restaurants in the area they are far and few between so you hope for the best. Also the dining area is small and was quite noisy due to a packed house.

LRA staff is very inviting and hospitable. We enjoyed our time together with our family on the houseboat. Staterooms are cozy, so pack light! Stateroom beds are clean and able to be easily disinfected by LRA. Kitchen is well stocked with utensils and cooking implements. You bring your own food and beverage. Refrigerator and gas range are full size. Full size dining table and chairs for six inside. Queen size sofa bed. All furniture was more comfortable than a hotel. Pay attention during the orientation to know how to operate the vessel, especially the beaching process. Beaching is not for the faint of heart. Our voyage was on a Luna model. Most areas do have 1X service to support cell calls; few areas support internet, but after all you are getting away from the day to day grind and actually unplugging. I highly recommend LRA! You'll have a great time.

Beautiful lake, with marina/store/restraunt and nice boat launch.
