Excellent service. Fast food preparation. Very authentic Shanghainese food. My family always come here whenever we are in the area. I highly recommend trying the 肴猪脚。

Been coming to this restaurant for at least 20 yrs. They cook better than other Chinese restaurants. Their specialty is pork pump. They cooked it 2 different ways. One with soy sauce and the other is without. Both are good but My favorite is without soy sauce.

Great lunch special menu. Good 7 days a week till 3 pm. Food is traditions Shanghai style, very salty n overly sweet.

While this is probably one of the oldest Shanghai restaurants in the San Gabriel Valley, Lake Spring has gone through changed in ownership. It is now owned by native Cantonese speaking people. Of the four dishes ordered, the Xiao Lung Bao (steamed pork dumplings) was bar far the worst I've tasted. The baos were dry lacking the burst of pork soup bursting into your mouth upon your first bite! The shanghai ribs were a bit too sweet and lacked meat. The meatballs were delicate like a fluffy ball. The cumin lamb had very little lamb but plenty of onions, leeks and peppers taking over the plate. The decor hasn't changed in over 20 years but the service was a bit absent. Upon our arrival, we were their first customer and the staff was sitting in the back table talking extremely loud for at least 20 minutes - up until we placed our order.

We met with friends at this spot for dinner. This place was recommended to us by a friend. Well, it was a winning. we were warmly welcomed by the staff members and we had an excellent feeling. The food was just great. We had a great time and we will definitely return to this restaurant. Warmly recommended.

This restaurant is about 38 years old. I have been coming for at least 30 years. It offers real Shanghainess food and very consistent quality. Jenny, the head waitress has been working there for more than 25 years. I love the consistent quality. Not many Chinese restaurants in the San Gabriel valley last that long. Same owner and same cook but they are approaching retirement. I just hope they don't make changes too soon.

I visit this spot a lot since I work close by. I like how the service is always excellent and they keep the spot well organized at all times. Pricing is convenient and they serve generous portions.
