The facility wasn’t very clean. Residents wander around with no supervision.. My mother passed away here. She had recently gone to the er and they said her oxygen was low- yet nobody saw that she kept in on. She had copd. Her health drastically declined while there. She died from being isolated in that really expensive prison! She said she didn’t feel right since she was forced to get the COVID shot. Every time I talked with her on the phone I could hear people screaming in the background. WTH is going on over there!

Brookdale at Palmer park was my first job at a senior home when I moved to Colorado I had so much fun there took care of a lot of great residents and the family members were great my co workers at that time was a lot of fun to work with I would say i would apply there again if I need to but this is my experience can’t talk for others and not to mention the view is pretty of the park and I was always in boat house don’t know if it’s still called that and the place was always cute the way the cottages were decorated

Environment is depressing. Low lighting, not much going on, residents seem to have very little to low quality of life. Getting communication from staff, especially since COVID hit has been near impossible. We received a call saying my grandmother wasn't expected to make it through the night...no follow up explanation, they refuse to arrange for family to see her and it was difficult to even get them on face time so we could see her virtually. I work for a different Senior Living company which provides Assisted Living Care AND Memory Care. Seeing how they have handled everything is completely unacceptable. There is no reason that with her dying my family should not be able to see her in some fashion. Also unsure why hospice care was the only one who could figure out a simple solution to do a virtual visit with her. Its not hard to download and use Google duo on an iPhone..as well we shouldn't have to speak to four different people before getting someone one to face time with us (knowing we are going to be calling). Not to mention then she had no answers because "that isn't her usual floor". I understand these are tough times and staff may be lower on weekends but this is an unacceptable way of operating. We are trusting the care of our loved ones in your hands...and family members pay a hefty amount for that care (again, I work in the field...I am well aware). The lack of communication, understanding, sympathy towards the resident and their family, there is no excuse for it. It was a great place when Brookdale still owned it. But since Lark Springs bought out Brookdale, it has continued to go downhill.

Infected with bed bugs!! Manament treats residents and staff with no respect and need to be replaced asap. Up date employees have confirmed that COVID has hit there employees and residents there and of course management did not even care at all.

My brother moved to Lark Springs in mid-July. Although there are no words to adequately describe what a blessing this move has been, I would like to share my thoughts. He was diagnosed with dementia some time ago and could no longer live independently. We (his family and a wonderful team of caring Penrose case workers) spent several months trying to find proper placement for him. When an opening became available, we jumped at it, with little time to investigate or check references. Lark Springs has been the perfect fit for my brother. The staff is kind, caring, compassionate, and obviously well-trained in the special needs of folks with dementia, memory loss, and Alzheimers. The building and grounds are well-maintained, safe, secure, and always spotlessly clean. The outdoor areas are especially beautiful. My brother has been a vegetarian for more than thirty years and the staff willingly provided him with good, nutritious, appealing vegetarian meals. But everything looked and smelled so good, he began eating meat again and is physically healthier than he has been in years. Activities, programs, outings, and entertainment are constantly offered and well-attended by the residents. Although Lark Springs does not accept Medicaid, it is affiliated with (or participates in) the Rocky Mountain PACE program which made it a most affordable option and removed the obligation for us to find medical providers and transportation to and from appointments. After years of worry, we, the family, rest easier now knowing he is safe, secure, comfortable, and happy. Thank you to the Lark Springs Staff and Management!

Moved my Mom out of here today. After 4 falls in the month of August. They did nothing to prevent her falls except make me take her dog away who was her reason for living. Her dog is a Schnauzer who never moved when mom was walking around. One of her falls was after I took the dog out. They had one of the other residents help mom change her clothes after mom spilt a drink on her clothes instead of the aid changing my moms clothes. Lark Springs is where the Residents take care of the Residents not the Staff.

Very friendly staff but I kind of gave up getting hired there, I was hired did the drug test, passed and now they say they are STILL waiting on my background check (way over two weeks now) , with no call backs or updates. I myself called well over 4 or 5 times checking on the status to only be told when it comes back, I will be called, but nothing yet or any calls to say they are still waiting and never got a call back from the business manager who said she would call me back after she finished a task. I am very well over qualified for that job and just felt the hiring process is very unprofessional
