The food and people make this the best of everything. The food is super delicious and the customer service makes you feel like better then home. Their Jerk chicken, Oxtail, and their Snapper is the bomb. They sometimes have a Fish Party Festival with tables and music outside.
Food prices are cheap compared to the taste, my husband and I travel almost 40 miles every week to enjoy the authentic taste of Jamaica , I'm from New York and its hard to find authentic taste, most jamaican restaurants change chefs not this one,, same people since 05', and we are always satisfied, the gentleman is very personable and never lets us down with the portions or taste, we will be back soon for Oxtails and Jerk chicken and curry Goat!!!
It has been a while since I been there because the last time I went there the husband was very rude and my food was ridiculous. I had the rice and peas which literally had no peas and the meat inside of my beef patties was old and hard. I had to throw them away. The price that was on the website was totally different from the price inside the restaurant. When I called him and brought all these concerns to his attention, he was very nonchalant about it. So I had not eaten there in months. I have been wanting some beef patties so I tried them again today, low and behold. The meat inside is old and hard again. I am done with Coconut Grove. I will never eat there again.
The owner is a real humble dude, and has a great spirit! The food was delicious, me and my husband couldn’t stop eating it! Our first time & definitely won’t be the last. Stew chicken, rice and peas, cabbage and plantains. Everything had the right amount of spice. My husband wanted extra spice and it was spicy for sure lol. We bought the beef patty while waiting on the food to get ready. Thank you again!!
