Great adventure for grandkids. Loved the boat tour.and old school room. Not as much on Buffalo Bill as expected.

An absolute treasure of a museum. Highly recommended even if only a passing interest in any history. We hadn't set out to visit here, we had just pulled off the 80 to get a drink and saw the signs. Glad we stopped by. I personally didn't know that much about the area or Buffalo Bill (I'm from England), but I had to be near dragged out. So much of interest from William himself, to local, Mr Ryan who invented the Black box flight recorder amongst other pivotal technology, like the Bumper (fender) as we know it. The dry docked 'Lone Star' steamer was also fascinating too. Well worth the 5 entry fee.

It was good. It had a wide variety of things from the past and local historical things plus some Buffalo Bill things.

Very cool museum to visit. Lots of local history along with buffalo bill stuff, riverboat stuff, war stuff, among other things. Very friendly staff, you do a self guided tour and can spend as much time as you want. Old time school room replica was very interesting. A small play area for kids also. I would recommend checking it out.

This place is amazing. A Hidden Gem on the Mississippi River , so much history, not only of Buffalo Bill but the town itself.

They put a refurbished antique steamboat in their museum - color me impressed. So much history in one place A PHENOMENAL museum & must see if you're in the area!

Self-guided tour of Buffalo Bill history, the Lone Star steamboat and steamboat river history, and the town of LeClaire. Contains tons of old time trinkets, copious signage to read, and the Lone Star that you can walk freely through. Walking through the boat was the best part. 5 admission for adult, 4 for senior. Annual and family passes available. Would recommend if passing through or visiting for a day trip.
