My wife and I got married here in 2016 and it was AMAZING. The price of the venue was extremely affordable, and yet the lodge was a beautiful place to get married, with the wooded trails behind to take pictures at. Very intimate, woodsy location. Since this is a government-ran building, they aren't really trying to make a profit here, which is why I think it's dirt cheap compared to how nice it is. If you are getting married here, things to consider: 1) There is air conditioning, but in the hottest months, the AC will NOT be enough to keep guests comfortable.We found this out days before the wedding, and hired an AC truck that blew AC into the building from a window. 2) In the winter, the heat will not be enough. 3) Everything must be out of the venue by 10:00pm. 4) Some people will have a hard time finding the venue with Apple maps, so be sure to have someone ready to help with directions. 5) The other buildings nearby are super close, if you want a truly private experience, consider booking up all the gazebos, picnic areas, and buildings nearby this one. 6) This place gets booked up FAST: be sure to reserve it as early as possible. 7) Consider, for how cheap it is, reserving the venue for a few days before and after your actual date: we did this and it made things so much easier for setup and teardown. 8) They have chairs, but they are just old metal ones, we rented chairs and I would advise you do the same.

Watched my daughter marry the man if her dreams, this place is so beautiful & peaceful. Our family came from Ga. However his came from Penn. ,Delaware, and New York. We had room for all of us very comfortable in there amazing cabins. Plus the raccoon who always stayed close too cabin 1( but never too close) was adorable \u003c3

Beautiful lodge, and my sister will be getting married there in June. Lots of great areas and choices for layouts for events.
We had my oldest daughter's wedding here. It was such a beautiful location and the accommodations were perfect. Everyone was pleased by the experience.
We attended the wedding of our great niece. It was a festive time. I do recommend it if you are planning a rustic wedding! The fireplaces saved the day!
