I love Loretta’s passion and love for her animals, it’s contagious! My girls are beginners and have been going to Loretta for several months. We enjoy every minute and can’t wait to learn more!

Though I've already posted close to this same review on Loretta's facebook page, I can't emphasize enough how highly I recommend 20/20 Horsemanship. My daughter and I have been taking lessons with Loretta for almost 3 years. When we began, my daughter was a beginner, and I was coming back to riding after a 20 year hiatus. With a level of patience and skill I've not seen in many riding instructors over the years, Loretta has provided us with an overwhelmingly positive experience despite our different skill levels. She takes the time needed to help a beginner truly understand horsemanship, both on and off the horse, and she has taken a nuanced approach with me that has helped to uncover and refine the finer points I never learned while riding at bigger lesson barns growing up. We’ve learned about equine health and physiology, conditioning (horse and rider!), herd behavior, the benefits of ground work, breed characteristics, types of tack, horse/rider communication…seriously, the list goes on and on. And Loretta has happy horses! A happy horse pays attention, ears forward when ridden, lick and chews, and engages in the activity. When they're doing something they like, they get excited, and you can tell! Put it all together, and you end up with a positive experience for both horse and rider, and a greater understanding of horses, generally, and how you and your horse can work together, specifically. To me, the nuances of riding are what make it a joy and a challenge. My daughter and I could not be more pleased with our experience.

Learning to ride with Loretta has been great. She is very thorough and gives a lot of information. As a true beginner, I loved the way she explained and walked me through everything one step at a time starting with the basics. She not only teaches riding, but how to care for and manage the horses. I am very happy with my progress and experience here.

We have been coming to 20/20 for almost 6 years. We have followed Loretta through years and my daughter has learned an immense amount from various experiences. She can tack up any horse, feed and identify herd behavior because she has gained so much more than riding skills. She is fearless in the barn and around horses, but also smart about how to act. She knows about proper feed, bedding and total care of horses. We have accomplished our goal of not just learning to ride, but learning about proper horsemanship. The lessons she has gained and confidence from this sport will serve her well beyond any other experience. The eventing experiences have also been great learning experiences. Loretta has been a great teacher through the years.

Loretta is a great teacher with nice horses and ponies. She is great with beginners, and adults. She takes the time to explain and educate you about everything equine. I highly recommend 20/20 horsemanship!
