On May 30 2020 I hired a roofing contractor to perform a reroof on my newly purchased home built in 2005. Upon having the roof replaced there was a few hiccups with water intrusion and some damages. The company that I hired used legacy engineering to do the inspections on my home. Upon reviewing my home security system, legacy engineering only came out one time to inspect my roof. When the gentleman came out I advised my wife who was home at the time, to point out an area of the roof that had a shingle sticking up and also an area In the back of the house where the roofers left exposed wood. The gentleman advised my wife not to worry, I do a very thorough inspection. The area that was pointed ted out in front of the house had a framing nail and a shingle nail not properly set causeing the shingle to stick up, this was never stated on inspection notes. The inspector gave a partial pass on inspection that day advising that the roof was not completed the suggested way but will pass, that was the last time I saw this company come out. Due to the inspection being passed, the company that performed the work stated that the work was completed satisfactory and they would not perform anymore repairs, I hired a roofing contractor to inspect my roof and send me a report of all findings. After receiving the report I reached out to the contractor that performed the work as well as sent the report to legacy engineering. I have yet to receive any contact from this Legacy Engineering in regards to the inspection they passed. I do not feel that this company is honest or thorough at all due to all the issues found by the contractor I hired. Legacy Engineering has yet to reach out with a response about completed inspection by them and I would like some answers to why it was passed. I would not recommend this company to perform any inspections on your home or bussiness.
