I was a member for years until they started blaming me for my brain tumor. And when we asked the church for help financially, like nearly everyone does, we were hidden and shunned like they were ashamed to have myself and my wife there. Then there was the \speaking in tongues\ that would happen at a specific time in the service (cued by the music set up in the schedule in the sound booth I volunteered in) to try and convince people to give more money to the church. The same person would always start up and the same person would \translate\ the gibberish, which always sounded the exact same. There was no hidden language, there was no hand of God, it was all designed to work on people's emotions to get more money for the church. After several churches in my life, this one was the one that made me question God. I would highly recommend not attending.

I've gone to this church for years and for good reason. The people, including the Pastor and wife, are loving and caring people. This church supports the community in many different ways from cooking hamburgers on-site to teachers and staff in the surrounding school district to Mission trips not only across the border but right here in Texas. It's a church where you can experience the presence of God. I'm blessed to be a part of this congregation.

As a member for many years at VLC. It has been a BLESSING and a JOY, GROWING and LEARNING with a body of BELIEVERS in my walk with GOD. Seeing my families lives change in the Mountains highs and Valleys of life. We serve a good GOD!!!
