nursing staff is great except when they are afraid to act as an advocate for their patient. I had a known infection and blood cultures were not drawn for over 12 hours and after antibiotics were given. I asked to have the medicine team consulted after the surgery team could not manage the bacteremia and they refused. I was told the chief surgeon would perform my surgery but she was never in the room. I kept asking for fluids because I was dizzy when sitting up. they refused. I asked for blood thinner because I had been bed ridden 3 days before I got any. I asked the attending that came to explain my next surgery the I only wanted the chief resident and attending performing my surgery and was told to go to another hospital if I didnt want students and residents doing my surgeries. great idea except my insurance covers UK.

Trauma team coordinator was lazy and horrible and condescending. She never talked and asked patient and family questions before assuming. Her name was Sonia- good luck to anyone who has her.

7 floor ICU nurses and techs were never around. Sue was rude and didn't wabt to be bothered. Constantly told to wait fir my brother to be turned. I would give 0 if possible. Getting transfered asap.
