This restaurant is a blast. It's fun, it's friendly, and most of all it's delicious and affordable. The atmosphere invites you to return again and again! The staff is terrific, even under tough circumstances like the virus, and make your visit the best it can be. The staff are very good at what they do but never make you feel like anything but at home! The sing-along band liven the room and that's amazing in times like these. (Yes, they wear masks and observe all precautions and distances) The menu is not overburdened with German dishes but it aspires to be as authentic as possible. But it's the bar that caps this tale. It's brilliant with great brews and imports. Don't miss a chance to stop by the Village Lantern and partake. It celebrates the history of Lindenhurst without being cliche. You need to enjoy their offerings and bring your own fun to the party. Really fun places are gems in the rough and to enjoy this wonderful German place, you'll be finding a pirates treasure!

Highly recommended. Very pleasant staff and delicious food. Love the pretzel rolls and potatoes pancakes. Hubby loves the sauerbraten here.
I often take my friends to this restaurant with my highest recommendations. I visit this place often. This recommendation is always successful. The the food there is tasty and the stuff is generous and cooperative. Every time we eat in this place we enjoy a pleasing time. I recommend this place with pleasure.
The food is tasty. The service isnt too great. You have to wait a very long time for your food to come. More waitresses needs to be hired. Also the prices are too high. They need to deduct about 8 from their current prices. Stuffed Cabbage is normally 9.95 at all other Polish and Mediterranean Resteraunts. The Village Lantern charges 22.95. Their prices are extreme. I won't be going back unless their PRICES are LOWERED. You may want to shop around for your money's worth.
