I had a very positive experience with a Lithonia Police Officer today, my son got pulled over for driving without a seatbelt and more.. Without going into too much detail, I like to say the officer had such empathy and understanding that even though my son was driving improperly he still had an interview to go to and the officer cared that he made it on time to his job Interview. I wish I would of taken the time to get the officers name for a proper acknowledgement but I'm very grateful to him and as well as my knuckle head son for you just caring! GOD bless you!

If I could give a negative review I would. A friend of mine was on duty for work and had his and a coworkers car stolen with their belongings in it by a bunch of teens, literally watched it happen as they were wrapping up a sale and turned around and saw them taking off with the vehicle. They called an officer out to report it and was told that they weren't priority and that an officer would be out when their situation became priority. What?! Someone was actively stealing a vehicle and it's not priority?! Oh and the police were called twice and an officer never showed, there isn't even a report on file of the vehicle being stolen because writing traffic tickets are more important than finding a stolen vehicle.
There is a an area On Klondike and Main Street by by the funeral home the police is there and they harass you saying that you don’t stop at the stop sign all your speeding and if you go to court it’s a waste of time the solicitor the judge and the police officer all work together I have received a ticket and got a bench trial the officer change the location she initially said she was sitting with the help of the solicitor he basically said “ wasn’t You sitting here”? and pointing to the pictures I provided in front of the judge I was appalled and than realize this was not going to be a fair bench trial I received two tickets within one week in the same spot since I have taken an alternate route I have Not been stop by the police this place here in this area civilians are being harassed and ticketed by the police for no reason I wish there can be an investigation but take my advice if you get a ticket do not do a bench trial please have a jury trial wish I understood this more thoroughly before I had a bench trial I had proof I had pictures As soon as the officer saw my pictures shown by the solicitor she change the location...Also I had proof the judge told me that he has to take the officer word why because she’s an officer I already knew i was not going to get a fair trial This is my first time ever visiting this court and I hope to God it’s my last time like I said I have to take an alternate route I do not plan on staying in this area area if I have deal with theses kind of police I rather not patronage the city that is my plan next year to get out the city of Lithonia ASAP .... I live in Gwinnett County 13 years and I honestly say I have a 13 years I have one ticket I lived in the cab county 1 a half years and I have two tickets in the same spot a total set up
Literally just got into a car accident called 911 and 1hr later after call number 2 still no officer after being told \WHEN ONE BECOMES Available they will send one out\... wow and this is what taxes pay for no wonder no one takes being a police officer seriously anymore!!
I don't believe this community has there people best interest at heart. I'm disabled and called the police because I'm being picked on by others and I was told I'd If i call again I'm gtn dcfs called on me n going to jail. WOW REALLY Won't called them again I see how this works they don't care at all for there people who are with a disability.
