Nice building!

Nice building... Not really a museum, just an excuse of one, by sporting two small vitrines against the back wall with some history in them. The remaining 90% or so of the space is a "gallery," i.e. essentially a gift shop with jewelery and postcards. Staff is trying to be nice, if slightly defensive about this lopsided situation, and pretty clueless otherwise. Apparently the place is not publicly/city supported. Maybe the city could be shamed into giving it some attention and support, if it's supposed to function as a place of attraction, and a showcase ("business card"?) for the city. Livermore has a lot of history to share and impress with, but this is not the place to find out much about it... (My suspicion is that currently this is just a business, trying to front as a museum, or what some might call a "tourist trap"?) If you want something more, a local history museum with some content, go west a few miles and visit the Museum in Main in Pleasanton...
Old-school architecture in nice little town.
Good place to learn about Livermore history. Staffed by friendly people.
