Buying a gun at Al's was a great experience. Fast and friendly service. The young girl in the gun department knows her stuff and helped me feel comfortable with my gun purchase. I do wish they had ammo available more often, the only down side. Also I love that the store gives a veteran discount! As a military veteran it feels nice to get a discount and feel appreciated for the service I gave to my country. The two customer service guys in the shoe department should try not to horse around so much and help customers, but I still was able to find a pair after asking for help several times and feeling like a bother to them. All in all I liked my experience with Al's and will continue to shop here in the future.

Hands down best sporting goods store anywhere. I frequently buy items here at or near cost. I sometimes wonder how they make any money. Customer service is also fantastic.

I love the Logan Al’s because every time I come in here they always have what I need. I feel like they’re never out of stock and always have more than what I expected. The staff in the fishing department is amazing as well and is very knowledgeable! Brian is awesome and can answer any question you could have about fishing. Love this store!

Edit: The owner reached out to me and listened to my concern. It was able to be resolved and the general manager spoke with me as well. I no longer feel ripped off since my problem was resolved. For this reason, I've updated this review from one star to four. I am rating this store four stars instead of five because I still think it was ridiculous that I had to make such a big deal over an issue which ended up being very simple to resolve. Original review: This place is perfect for those who have money to spare. Which is ideal for the owner, who prefers to drain every last dollar from his guests. The refund policy is horrific even if you can prove your item is unused and purchased from this shop. This is no longer a small town establishment as they're expanding their business to many other cities and clearly only care about the bottom line and no longer the customer. I'm extremely disappointed that I've spent so much money here in the past. Thank goodness we still have the Sportsman, Sportsman's Warehouse, and local bike shops that still care about their customers. While some employees are helpful, the majority are uninterested college students. A few years ago, they seemed more competent and interested in helping customers rather than talking/flirting with fellow staff members.

I’ve come to love Al’s. We had a pretty bad unexpected incident there years ago and they went above and beyond to make it right. Every time we go in there, employees are more than happy to help. Large selection of quality products. Their bike shop is top notch and I’ll never take ours anywhere else. Season ski rentals for kids are great.
