Service is full of passion. Even though you might need to wait (I waited for 20min at 6:20 pm Saturday). It’s best for those old buddies getting together to have a feast considering the tight sitting space. The food is not too spicy, large portions. For those of you who used to study in China, this place is just like the restaurant outside your school gate. The one you will always go if you are tired of the wallet friendly dinning hall. Or you really have no idea where else to eat. When I studied in Southeast University in Nanjing, there is one restaurant that also serve the pork neck called “东北酱骨头馆”. Although that one taste better and you have far more choices of food. I will still come back here as long as I am in LA to remind me of the days back in China.

Due to the ongoing corona virus situation, I ordered a large Gamjatang for takeout. I had it for 2 days and found a dead roach during lunch on the third day.

Delicious pork ribs soup and pork belly! The bonchon fresh and delicious, the pork belly perfect and not porky nor greasy, the raw oysters fresh, the pork ribs huge and tender, the fried rice crunchy, just filling and delicious! Crazy small parking lot, credit accepted, soju available, quick pleasant service

Best gamjatang in Los Angeles. Get extra leaves, and prepare to feel *very healthy* after filling up on this hearty soup. I also recommend their bossam. Once you construct a little (or not so little) bite, the balance of flavors is very nice. They are open for takeout during 2020 pandemic. they take credit and offer alcohol to go.

Yesssss! I'm so happy they got a second location! This place is delicious. The hummus and garlic are addicting, can't get enough of them and the pita! I love the steak kabob and the salmon dish.

I think this place receives less love than all the other gamjatang joints in the city! But maybe it’s better that way... We had a party of four demolish the large size gamjatang. Lots of greens, which I like. I’m not sure if was just really hungry that day, but I was wishing the bones had more meat on them. Regardless, it’ll prob be my new go-to spot for gamjatang.
