Very disappointed with this rescue. With ample warning from different rescues and individuals, a pledge for full financial sponsorship, 1 person from the same city, another from the same state, wanting to adopt, texts, emails and phone calls, where people were told to "mind their own business" when expressing concerns for the well-being of Cricket, they still sent a special needs baby, one week after a rear leg amputation, to someone who is NOT a rescue, already has 25 animals in her 1000sq 3 level home, now 6 diaper babies as well as numerous other special needs. This rescue was given evidence that they were sending Cricket to someone who already had 34 babies die in only 2 years. They did not perform a home check, a 15 minute hand off at the airport was the only face time they had with HM, who has been under investigation with Animal Welfare for almost 2 years. The person Lucky's sent Cricket to, illegally euthanized her own dog at the local Humane Society where she did work, before having to resign over the lie she told on social media about the pup she euthanized, by telling everyone he'd been adopted. He was found in a garbage bag in the freezer. How many other animals did she lie about? The complete disregard for the warnings and concerns voiced for the safety and well-being of Cricket are red flags. I would not recommend this rescue. It seems like David/MA/SS whoever you are today, is off topic. This is a review on a rescue, not a place for personal attacks. But it seems some are unable to help themselves. Once again, showing a lack of concern for the babies only for the person.

Lucky's Place was a Godsend to an acquaintance who became homeless and had no place for his three cats. Lucky's took them in, made sure they were healthy and provided them with love, safety and stimulation. The facilities are clean and well-kept and I would highly recommend Lucky's for anyone who finds themselves in the heart-wrenching and difficult situation that my friend did. I give a monthly gift to help support their good work and if I was able to, I would also donate my time. All three cats were eventually adopted and have loving homes because of the dedication of Jan and her team.

Hope people like Laura Prive are just so proud of themselves supporting a known abuser like Heather Miller in Houlton Maine and this rescue that was WARNED NOT to send little kitten Cricket to Miller. Cricket is, of course, now DEAD along with several other kittens/cats as Miller is nothing but an exploiter and abuser. Shame on this place as they were warned by many reputable organizations and people about Miller and bigger shame on Prive for continuing to support a known animal killer. You were all told this would happen and it did.

I am giving one star, as that is the only option. Despite being warned a number of times that a special needs cat was being adopted by someone who is on DNA (Do Not Adopt) lists, the cat was delivered to the person on the DNA list - with no home check or anything. The person who adopted the cat has had MANY animals die on her in the last year or so. Thirty plus animals in a 1,000 square foot home. The person who adopted the cat has already been investigated for illegally euthanizing her dog. A simple Google search would have provided information to show that this poor cat should not have been sent there.

I love Luckys animal place because the owners are some of the most caring people I know. They do their best at making sure every cat has a fair chance and goes to a great home. I've never met people so compassionate and so giving of their time for an amazing cause. Every cat has a warm and cozy condo, and volunteers that show them so much love. No matter what, they are a no kill shelter and will do their best to save every cat they can. I am so lucky I was able to adopt two of my cats from Luckys Place. They have brought so much joy into my life \u003c3
