Makerspace Urbana has helpful & friendly staff - including helping you with computer problems! - and equipment for making all sorts of things, from 3-D printed plastic to precisely cut vinyl to a computer-driven sewing machine that can make programmed designs, or soldering. Also, it is more fun to make stuff if you're with other people who are making stuff too. I've gone there to sew up torn pants pockets and had a fine time.

This is such an amazingly inclusive place that is filled with friendly people that always make you feel welcome. You can go in there with a project to work on or an idea and people can help you out or just to see what people are up to - either way it’s a good time & a great space to have in the community.

Makerspace is truly an inclusive, multigenerational, sanctuary for makers of all kinds. I've made many a project there and took my youth program there for workshops led by a team of kind, knowledgable volunteers. Makerspace is a beloved gem of the arts scene in Urbana and I'm so grateful for the work of its supporters.

Awesome people, great space. What better empowerment than providing tools and knowledge to the community?

One of the best places I've been for making, repairing, and creating. Real friendly community; someone taught me how to repair my laptop screen when it broke and I've been able to fix it and other problems since.

Have been shown how to make vinyl stickers, buttons, and more. Game nights and incredibly friendly and welcoming staff. A hidden gem of a space in Urbana!
