If your traveling on Encinal Cyn from Mulholland, Camp Kilpatrick on right, not left. No good cell service in the area(Tmobile user). Excellent and secured facility. Our family is watching our once at risk youth thrive here, planning a future, and finishing high school early. By the way, he had excelled in public school, but began to struggle after various family struggles/tragedies. He likes the facility, the staff, doctors, and case workers.

Was in here in 1969. It was okay l guess. But there was some major problems with where they took us for catholic mass.

Just watching the movie Gridiron Gang... It is a true inspiration knowing that there are people who really have sympathy for teens who really are good people that just need guidance!!! I wish they would have something like that here in Pennsylvania where I live!!! The judicial system here in my opinion, is just sad!!! The kids need compassion and love to see that it's worth it to become productive members of society!!!

A place filled with pain, snot covered walls, Rotten humans and fear. Dark corners waiting to pounce Keeping a young boy on edge. A hole filled With me. Was fed by the Counselors Again and again. My screams always faded under The hog tied pain. Sitting for hours With arms and back strait On a bed bathed in blood. My young mind would flee Hoping to never return. But here was the Ball Breaker Again At my door To take me to the back For the sin of laying down. That place so dark, cold and empty The fetal position was my only womb. The ocean was near But I could only smell my own fear. Fear that this pain would never give way That these men called counselors Would hog tie me again. The Thorizine heaven they prescribed Only shut down my mind. This place called Camp Kilpatrick Was really Hell And I was twelve.

Spent time here as a child. Last of many visits in the juvenile system. Fortunately I was able to get one last chance to redeem myself on the field. A privilege that was lost due to mistakes. Got the chance to earn all league honors and the defensive player of the year award. It was not a bad experience here was never hog tied or seen staff did that to anyone. It's done in the system, I had a staff member in Sylmar swing on me like I was his enemy. But here is where if you're excepting you'll be given a fair chance to earn your respect not only on the field but in life itself once again. I played under Freeman, White and Delimico. You weren't stepping on that field under any of them if you're work wasn't done or if your teachers had complaints. What could have been hell was a blessing. Sports program gives that chance to get back focused.
