The Mammoth Mountain Chalets are hands down the best place to stay for your ski trip! We were in Chalet 2, which had plenty of space for my wife, dog, and I with a fantastic view of Main Lodge. I put on my skis at the front door and head straight down to the lifts, then ski back to the front door after hitting the slopes. The price is comparable to other lodging in town, yet no other place can offer ski in / ski out like this while giving us privacy. We have been coming every winter for the past few years, and we can't wait for our next trip!!

We stayed at Chalet #9 and it was fantastic! Super roomy with a fully equipped kitchen. Loved the deck and barbecue as well. Our kids are freestyle skiers and we were in town for training and competitions. The location is perfect as they could ski so easily to the lifts and ski right back to the chalet to switch gear out or grab lunch. Can’t wait to go back!!!
We love staying here! It’s so close to the lifts, you can literally walk out to the run and ski out/ski in. The staff is great and very communicative. The cabin is rustic and cozy. We have been coming here for the past 4 years and will definitely be back!
This is our second time staying in the chalets for a ski vacation, with a group of 8. We love the proximity to Main Lodge and the coziness of the chalet. Definitely would stay here again!
What a great find for a last minute trip with the family. The place is super cute! Extremely clean! The beds were very comfortable and made with top quality linens like those in a 5 star hotel (big plus for me!) lots of plates, cups, cooking utensils etc... didn’t have to run the dishwasher every day. The management was quick to respond when we ran out of propane. I give this place 5 stars and will try to book for a ski vacation.
Had an awesome time with my family (two families) and our 3 dogs. The location is amazing. The view is incredible in the morning and at night. You’re only about ten minutes out of town from the shops. The chalet we were at was around 50yds from the parking lot and because of the snow you have to walk. So take that into consideration if you have someone who has a hard time getting around. Although when you get there they haul all your stuff with a snow cat. Everyone loved it, I do recommend staying here.

Mammoth Mountain Chalets is my favorite place to stay in Mammoth. I hesitated to even post a review since I want to keep mmchalets to myself ️. We have stayed there about 8 times and I always look forward to going back. Most of the chalets are pretty basic but what they lack in luxury they make up for 3-fold in authenticity, proximity and joy. For us it’s the best mountain experience since we have kids who sometimes don’t want to ski a full day and they can just ski off a green right to the cabin for hot chocolate and snow play when they’re done. For us parents I love not having to deal with mountain parking and lugging all the gear. Plus I can ski right back for an apres drink on the deck while enjoying being nestled in the forest. We even did a post ski hike to a gorgeous overlook of the minarets right from our cabin. This year we got a puppy and several chalets are dog friendly which is a huge bonus.
