I am new in the area and I am attempting to find a doctor. I called and was told I needed to give my information, such as insurance and medications and they would see if the doctor was willing to see me. I have never needed an interview to see a doctor in my life. I waited a day for them to call back (thank goodness I wasn't actually sick) and told them no thanks. Find someone actually interested in treating you as a patient, not worried about what kind of insurance coverage you have.

My family has been using this practice for over a year now. I like how they are focusing on our families health and not just treating illness when we come in. If you want to be proactive in your health this is your office. I feel lucky as I have always been able to get in for acute concerns within 48 hours as well. This will be our office in town.

DO NOT GO HERE IF YOU NEED A COVID TEST. Even if you're a current patient! They wanted to charge me 125 up front, which is all of my grocery money for the next week, because my account has gone to collections before (when I was pregnant, unemployed, and experiencing serious health problems). They never worked with me on billing or payment options, despite me asking them for a payment option. Find someone else in town. Their physicians are also not the best in the world, as my doctor hadn't heard of my pretty common health condition and had no idea how to treat me.

After asking for recommendations from a Manhattan moms group on Facebook I decided to give Dr. Harrison at Manhattan Primary a shot. After speaking with him for a physical I felt really good about working with him. I received a call the following week after they received my labs. A nurse told me my labs came back normal. I had spoken to Dr Harrison about my concerns of diabetes and insulin resistance. I later called to have my results emailed to me. During my review I noticed my red blood count was flagged as high, my hdl cholesterol was low and my triglycerides were high. Does this sound like a normal lab result to you when items are flagged? I sent the Dr. a message through the app they use and it took them a week to get back to me. The nurse indicated the Dr. was not concerned about the flagged results, but when I mentioned the low hdl cholesterol she suggested change in diet. She also suggested setting up a time to talk to the Dr. I’m sorry I don’t have time for a doctor that feels like flagged items from lab tests of a patient are no concern especially when those flagged items can explain symptoms and lead to what the patient is concerned about. Sad and disappointing
