Smitty, with Crystal River Jeep Tours, took us up to Crystal City early one morning so that my husband and I could do the Geneva Lake hike (Lead King Basin Road was closed at the time). He was friendly, helpful, and was right on time. He drives very safely. I have a fear of heights, but never once felt uneasy. The mountain and river views in this area are among the prettiest I’ve ever seen. Such stunning beauty. Crystal City is a fascinating place to see, and Smitty provided lots of interesting information about the road and the area on our drive. We agreed on a time at which he would pick us up at the end of the day, and after 8 hours of hiking, we were so grateful to see him there waiting when we arrived back in Crystal City. He was right on time. We would use Crystal River Jeep Tours again in a heartbeat. Professional, friendly, prompt, helpful - an all-around wonderful experience.

Very fun and educational tour if you’re looking for a fun time. Tour is safe, trilled, and adventurous. I recommend you make reservation. Totally wort it!
Went in early September with Chad and Sam and had an absolute blast. Chad was super knowledgeable about the area and surrounding wildlife. Marble is a really beautiful area and I'd definitely recommend booking with them, if you're in town. Word to the wise: get gas before coming (nearest gas station is 60 miles away). & most importantly: don't forget to pinch it!!
The actual tour of the Crystal River was amazing as was our tour guide Chad. He was very knowledgeable about both the area’s history and wildlife. The reason I am giving this 2 stars is because of the owners. On our way back from the tour the Jeep broke down which delayed us about an hour and a half. We learned that the owners have 6 different jeeps available, yet only 1 was running which is the one that broke down. Why they refuse to pay for maintenance on the other 5 Jeep’s is beyond me. It’s obvious if your using the same Jeep for multiple tours a day that it won’t last long. We eventually got a ride back to Marble from someone who didn’t even work for the tour company. When we got back we asked the owners if they would be willing to offer any discount due to the issues with the Jeep. They weren’t very sympathetic and got very defensive. They claimed they wouldn’t be giving us anything because they got us back “safely”. The tour was 85 per person (we had 5 people) and the fact that they wouldn’t even give us 10-15 off is astonishing. They obviously don’t know much about customer service. Overall I would say the tour was very enjoyable, however the owners lack of remorse really left a sour taste in my mouth.
A great experience with wonderful people that give you safe transport to one of the most beautiful places in all of Colorado. I can't recommend them highly enough to the people that want to go up to Crystal Mill. Support this small business!
