Excellent marine diesel service repair and maintenance. Serviced my vessel and had me back on the water in no time. Thank you for a job well done!

I had David perform an Engine Survey in the first week of April 2020 for me prior to purchasing a boat at the end of April. On my first trip the port engine alarm sounded after running the boat from Fort Myers to Venice. I tried to reach him a couple of times to schedule a diagnostic and repair and he never responded. I had 2 different technicians diagnose the same issue which was leak in the exhaust on the port engine. Both technicians said this was a discoverable leak at the time of his engine survey and independently said he did a bad job. The repair is in excess of 1800 and it is a shame that he did not find the leak. He has been paid in full for his survey, but it is not right that he did not respond to calls, voice mails, and ultimately cost me money that could rightfully been handled before the boat purchase.

They may or may not be a good mechanic. I called last week saying I would be in St. Pete this week and asked if they have time to come work on my diesel generator. They said to let them know what slip we would be in when we got here and they would have someone here on Monday. I asked twice to make sure they could have someone here on Monday and was told yes. I got here on the weekend, let them know that I was here and was told they would now be here on Tuesday afternoon. Arond noon on Tuesday I asked when they were going to be here, he said it would now be Wednesday afternoon. With Thanksgiving on Thursday nothing is realistically going to get repaired this week so I told them not to bother at this point. I was very clear when we talked that I was not from the area and what our schedule was, if they had told me they did not have time that would have been fine, they said they did though. I would not have paid for a week at a Marina if I would have known they would not show up when they said they would. They have wasted our time and money without even showing up. They may or may not be good mechanics, but their reliability sucks. I would look elsewhere for a mechanic.

Since I do not have a Facebook account, I am using my wife's. I recently thought I needed a marine diesel mechanic, and since JR Webb had assisted me at Caterpillar, I called Marine Diesel. We made arrangements for him to come out to my house to help with a problem on one of my engines. After spending 20-30 minutes here, he concluded that I did not have the suspected leak in the cooling system that I thought I had. Seemed very knowledgeable and when I tried to pay him for his time, he said othing\. I will definitely call them next time.
