You can walk in during COVID prior to 2pm! I highly recommend it. It was worth the drive. You can do multiple things at the same time and they don’t require an appointment. The staff is very friendly and helpful.
I lost my plate sticker during a move to Mathews County. Mathews has a DMV Select which I used to get a replacement sticker. The employees there were extraordinarily friendly while maintaining a professional business interaction. Yes, Virginia, DMV does employ real people behind the transaction windows!
Employee named Terri was very rude. Instead of helping me come up with a solution on registering my vehicle she just got an attitude and handed me back my paperwork. I tried to explain nicely what the other DMV previously told me and she just kept interrupting me with an attitude like she did not want to help. No customer service skills whatsoever. I will be reporting her to the BBB.
Friendly people and no waiting. You have to make an appointment and it doesn't take months like most dmvs do. I got an appointment within a week.
