Great opportunity to meet real people who make real art. Art that is accessible to a philistine like me, because the artists at McGuffey are excellent teachers as well. I've learned about glass-blowing from Chip Hall and have seen photographic artist Scott Smith manipulate light & shadow using the simplest tools to produce the most elegant images. Having a multi-generational mix of learners in the building, makes for a contagious enthusiasm about a subject that doesn't come easily to many of us. This place is a real gem. Try it on First Fridays when the locals come to rub elbows and share vino in a convivial atmosphere of artistic indulgence!

I love this place! Unique and changing art on the walls, most studios you’re welcome to come into and take a look at the artists at works! I haven’t attended any of the classes here but stop in to look around on a regular basis! Love it.
Very nice arts museum entry is free. They also do studios and classes.
Artists in studios very friendly and willing to share what they are doing. Variety of art techniques and media makes for very interesting visit. Art showcase also excellent.
I adore the artists' open studios. The work on display is also always different. And they've been hosting music classes for kids, which parents rave about.
