Tiger rock ROCKS!!! my 5 year old son Edgar Rogelio Guerrero has learned so much from the instructors. We love the learning environment, very family friendly but yet professional. I also love how they have many precautions due to COVID-19 while the kids enjoy learning. The instructors are so patient and work with each kid individually and in a group setting. I definitely recommend to other parents out there! I

For the money you pay this place for classes , you would assume they are there to teach your kid, but instead when there is testing / tournaments they leave no one to run the business , doors locked no one home ,while you have payed for the classes and we did, your kid will just have to sit out! Cost of training here is out of balance. I feel they are money motivated by the way they try to justify closing their doors when they have a tournament and no having classes available you have paid for! You will spend lots of hard earned cash and not get the fulfillment of what you pay for. We are looking for another academy, any suggestions. This one falls short of our expectations. On another note they do have a nice staff.

Pros & Cons Pros: good instructors, positive environment, good martial arts program Cons: communication, cost issues Short notice for things due to lack of communication - info needs to be updated on the FB page or website consistently The amount you pay has been slightly out of balance with what you get. You'll pay for 12 months, but the academy is closed for a week every other month after testing plus two weeks at Christmas, a week for tournaments. So closed like two and a half months total. Its 129/mo - 1548/yr. Not including testing which is 90 every two months and occasional equipment. There are many good kids at this academy. Classes are big. Its a good program. So even if you might not be getting your money's worth, it was close enough. Prices are going up to 149/mo - 1788. Had planned on staying there through the high school years. Would be better if you could choose different programs with different price options, but its just the one price. Have to check out other options in the area.

**Parents: Read This Review** - Tiger Rock is a good martial arts school but there are a few things you should know. 1)\tYou are not learning standard taekwondo. Tiger Rock has modified theirs slightly. If you ever move or want to find a different martial arts school then it has to be another Tiger Rock school or your kid may have to start over as a white belt. 2)\tMaster Vidal does a good job with kids but in our intro class he promised he would personally teach the class 90% of the time. It was more like 50% of the time. His assistants did a good job but not nearly as charismatic as he is. 3)\tThey care a lot about money. It already is 120 per month for classes but when your student goes for a green belt (white, yellow, then green, and it doesn’t take long), they will charge you 340 for gear and testing on top of your 120 per month. So that month will be 460 in martial arts classes! Between this and other interactions made me feel like the money was more important than the kids. I guess that is OK because after all this is a business and he needs to make a living and pay the franchise fees back to Tiger Rock. If you just want a good class that is close to where you live Tiger Rock will do but I decided it was time to find a different location for my son. Google it, there are a lot of other Martial Arts schools nearby.

Excellent school, program, and instructors! I've trained in Martial Arts over 20 years in multiple styles and organizations. With complete confidence, I can say that Master Vidal is one of the strongest instructors I have had the privilege to train with. I now have a 7 year old daughter that is working out here too, and I wouldn't trust her training to just anyone. There are a lot of choices out there (I've looked), in my opinion, this one is the best! If you are looking for a great program and instruction team, give TigerRock a shot. You will be glad you did!

McKinney Tiger Rock is a great place to take your kids to learn Martial Arts. The location is well maintained and very clean. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable. The two head instructors are each 4th degree certified in this discipline. My 12yo son eagerly attends classes, even in the summer. If you are considering enrolling your child in martial arts, this is THE place to go in McKinney.

Tiger Rock is our extended family. Instructors, Leadership and teammates are "Outstanding." Our two kids having been going for over a year and have become more confident, disciplined, focused, competitive, and overall transforming into an amazing young member of the community. My kids have fun every time they hit the mat. They "LOVE" and "TRUST" their instructors and fellow Tiger Rock family. I am in awe of how my children have changed. They are Tiger Rock Fanatics.

I started taking my son to Tiger Rock in June of last year. When he first started, I could tell he was a little more shy/timid, and I wasn't sure how well he'd actually do in the class. Mr. Vidal and Mr. Reitinger both made the classes fun for him while also teaching him the basics. Over time and each belt promotion, I have seen a remarkable change in my son's confidence. His flexibility & coordination has increased dramatically, and it's amazing when I watch the things he can do now. He's even started to try helping other kids in his class when he sees they're doing something a little wrong. Something he wouldn't have done at the beginning for sure. Mr. Allen is also a great instructor that is continuing my son's skills to becoming a black belt. All the instructors and assistant's at this academy do an amazing job at instructing so many kids, teens, and adults. They had a parents train for free in December and January. I had watched my son enjoy doing this so much, that I thought I would try it out. I'm glad I did, because I love going to the classes. I ended up signing up, and now working on catching up to my son in the belt ranks. If your child is shy or doesn't want to do team sports like basketball, football, soccer, etc, I would recommend signing he/she up at Tiger Rock. It's one sport that it's all up to them if they want to succeed. It teaches them great discipline and confidence that will help them in life. And if you're an adult looking for a class to take, sign up. It's a heck of a workout to get you into shape, but also teaches you karate and self-defense.
