Dan and crew at Ripple Creek - Thank you for the great experience that my wife and I had. After our 4-night stay we travelled for a couple weeks, staying at 4 other lodges in Jackson Hole, Cody, Wind River and Henry's Forks. None of them compared to our time at Ripple Creek. Everything from the people, the food, the scenery, & your prices were by far the best within 500 miles. Wishing you a successful elk season. Thanks again, Richard & Shelly August 2020

Dan the owner is great to work with. We stopped in and did a trail ride with Olivia. She guided my daughters and I on a beautiful back country horseback ride. This was the highlight of our camping trip.

We were looking for a quiet, rustic place to spend a few days. We fished, hiked and ride horses, thoroughly enjoying ourselves. Dan cooks up delicious meals and Brady and Trevor were friendly guides.

Great spot to decompress and see the Flattop Wilderness. Suggest the horse rides and the fishing is great. Dan feeds you well and makes a great breakfast and dinner daily!

My wife and I stayed last week for 4 days at the Ripple Creek Lodge. We stayed in cabin 3 which is furnished authentic rustic with a bunk bed and a queensize bed, a kitchened and a well funktioning bathroom, all heated comfortable with a gasheater. The lodge and it's several cabins and the mainhouse is nicely nestled at on Hwy 8, 39 mile out of Meekers up the scenic White River. Every day at 6:30 pm there is a gathering at the mainhouse porch around the hudge fireplace where available appetizers get shared with the highlights of the day amongst the guest and the dinner preparing owner. A great homemade wonderful dinner gets served at 7pm inside the living room style authentic furnished restaurant. The 4 days we did mainly flyfishing with the floattube on Trappers Lake and Vaughn Lake... we mostly cought good size up 20" rainbow, cutthrought and brooktrout. Also we had a great day of guided flyfishing on the North Fork White River close by. This guided flyfishing is newly offered by the lodge ... thanks to David our guide who was out there with us for fast running 10 hours We booked our next stay at the lodge wehn we left to take also advantage of the offered guided horseback trips to the more remote Lakes in the National forest....I think we found our place to come back over and over again.

We stayed a couple nights in late June. The cabin was cozy and inviting. The food was delicious, we ate breakfast and dinner at the lodge. The location is perfect for exploring. My children loved the experience, we will definitely be back to visit again.

Very unknowledgeable and Dan was extremely unpleasant to deal with. I would recommend any other guide in the entire state.

I recently completed a first season rifle hunt at Ripple Creek Lodge. There were 4 of us, all with varying physical abilities. I personally had minimal experience riding a horse. Dan (the owner), and his entire staff accommodated myself, and the rest of our hunting party to the utmost best of their ability. The entire staff at Ripple Creek Lodge is extremely friendly and professional, and took time to be patient with me in learning how to handle myself on horseback in the Rocky Mountains. The food is great, and there is plenty of it! You can tell that the owner prides himself in being a great host. The accommodations at Ripple Creek are ideal for a group of hunters, but certainly are not “fancy” (which is exactly what we were looking for). I, and every member of our hunting party, had a fantastic time. That being said you need to enter this hunt with realistic expectations. This is a wilderness hunt on public land in the Colorado wilderness. It required effort not only on my part, but from my guide as well. I could not have asked for a better guide! He worked hard, and honestly wanted us to have a successful hunt just as bad as we did. I highly recommend Ripple Creek Lodge, but I would encourage anyone interested to do their research prior to choosing an outfitter. Enter this, or any hunt for that matter, with realistic expectations and Dan along with his staff will not let you down.
