Great place to take a walk. You've got the beach, lake, dunes, breakwall and lots of shaded picnic areas. A little something for everyone.

A fantastic beach! My favorite place to park is the far east side and enter through the Headland Dunes State Nature Preserve. Across the enthralling narrow boardwalk and soon you'll hit the sand! A lot of the shoreline in this area is made up of smaller rocks, so a great place for skipping stones, finding beach glass, or just collecting really interesting looking pebbles. Beautiful Mentor Headlands Lighthouse is to your east, take a picture!

Expansive beach with nature preserve trails and view of the lighthouse and boat harbor. Love this for a summertime photo session location as well!!

My family and I visit Mentor Headlands beach about once a year. Even though it isn't quite the same as the eal\ beach by the ocean, it's still a nice place to visit. There is plenty of sand between the dunes and the lake which makes it a great place to play frisbee, football, soccer, you name it! In the summer/fall, the water is cool and refreshing! There is at least one medium-sized pavilion that I know of as well as countless picnic tables. Overall, it's a great place to spend the day with your friends and family!

One of the best public beaches in Ohio. Beautiful picturesque views and enough space to have room to enjoy the beach and lake without sitting right next to someone. The shoreline is a bit rocky and can be hard on swimmers feet. Bring some water shoes and you'll be fine!
