I love altered tails, and my mom and I have worked with them back in 2013 as well. They do fantastic work, they love and care for your animals, and they are an amazing non-profit. The services they provide are necessary and affordable for people who have low income but high love for their furbabies. The surgeries on both my cat and my dog were done amazingly well. The stitching was so neat and small that it barely looked like they even had a cut. Thank you to all of these amazing and caring people!! Please donate to them if you’re able!!

Wow such a great place, with great people. I'm extremely thankful for their services and how much they really care whether feral or not. I look forward to going back when needed.

As a person who does cat rescue, I appreciate places like Altered Tails that prove spay and neutering for feral cats at a very low cost. As a cat owner, I appreciate the reasonable prices for spay and neutering. Drop-off time is by 7:30 a.m. sharp. At 7:20, I joined the long line to drop off my cat, and I did not get out of there until almost 8:30 a.m. I timed the movement of the vehicles in front of me. At times, we sat for 15 minutes before one car moved. When I finally got up to where there were three or four cars ahead of me, a staff member came to collect the paperwork that was emailed to me. I I asked her if everyone had their paperwork done and she told me no and that adds to the time as they have to fill it out. I finally get up to front and I mentioned to the girl that their process is very inefficient and there are ways to improve it. She told me that it has to be like this. That made no sense to me. Yes, with Covid-19, it is important to stay in your vehicle but there are ways to greatly improve the process. I read through the reviews yesterday when I got home and I saw that several people commented on the wait well before the start of Covid-19. They said they would call when he was ready to be picked up. They close at 5 and your pet MUST be picked up by then. At 4:15, no call. I tried calling but no answer. I saw on the information sheet they handed out that you were to text when you arrived. I sent a text asking when he would be ready and to call me. At 4:33, I get the call. Luckily, I was close enough to get there in time. I arrived at 4:51 and got into a long line. I timed the vehicles , it was 4 minutes for the first few, then 14 minutes for one and then 5 to 7 minutes for others. It was 5:30 when I got my cat. I hope they work on improving their process.

I was referred to Altered tails by someone who rescued a pregnant cat. I adopted on of the kittens. I had no idea what to expect and I am so thankful that I took our little Luna there to be spayed. These folks tend to so many animals. The line was long yes, but the staff unbelievably kind and apologetic for the wait. These folks are passionate about what they do. And the cost was unbelievable, I asked if they charged me correctly. The cost for shots, rabies shot, micro chip and spay was 1/4 yes 1/4 of what I paid for out other rescue cat a year before at what we thought was a low cost vet/spay clinic in Scottsdale. They do need the publics help though. My boys and I will be donating to them. Wow, is all I can say. We are grateful for them.

I have 3 cats that I adopted years ago. All 3 were spayed or neutered at Altered Tails years ago...but still!. Great place. Very helpful. I appreciate all that you guys do. Especially for the trap & release program!, That is helping w/keeping on top of the stray population so much! Thanks again! Keep up the good work!
