Such a beautiful church and service. However, I will not go back during the pandemic. They do not enforce mask wearing. It is hard to focus on worship when you’re worried about catching Covid from the maskless man blowing his nose a few feet away from you. I have been to several Catholic Churches since they reopened during the pandemic, and all of them strictly enforced wearing a mask. I was appalled to see so many people without a mask at Saint Josaphats. I hope to go back when the pandemic is over to really take in all of the beauty.

The Basilica Of Saint Josaphat also known as St. Josaphat's Polish Roman Catholic Church is a Historical Landmark & The 3rd Largest Minor Basilica in The United States Of America. My Great Great Grandparents helped build The Basilica Of Saint Josaphat's along with hundreds of other Polish Immigrants. I made my Confirmation here. As a Natural Born American Citizen with Polish, Jewish, German, & Russian Ancestry, it is still nice to see that they still habe their Annual Polish Dinner every Year. I was raised both Catholic & Jewish. I later became a Non Denominational Ordained Minister outside of the Catholic Church... & even though I run my own Church now, I still attend The Basilica Of Saint Josaphat's from Time to Time because it is my Family's Church. It is the most Beautiful Church that I have ever seen. There is a lot of History here. The Inside of The Dome is written in Polish. There is even a tribute here to our First & Only Polish Pope, Pope Saint John Paul II who's was Born Karol Józef Wojtyła in Wadowice, Poland who happens to be my favorite Pope

We made a special trip to visit this Basilica, one of only three in the US, and it did not disappoint glad we visited. It is not only an architecture wonder but also has a splendid decorated interior with a huge main ornate alter and incredible painted fracas throughout. Make sure you visit the gift shop and don't miss the the basement church/secondary place of worship. It also has some great features, especially a treasure trove of relic's preserved behind an iron gate. We started about an 1.5 hours to thoroughly another the whole experience but it can be accomplished in less time.
