Excellent experience! Capt Ellis’ Boating Lesson was thorough, interesting, and easy to understand. Each of the key concept was discussed and then reinforced by hand-on training. As a novice boater, I appreciated the emphasis on safety for myself, my passengers, and the boat. Capt Ellis is calm and, therefore, made me feel more relaxed in operating the boat. I highly recommend this course for beginner boaters!

Captain Ellis took my family—me, my wife, 10-year-old daughter, and 5-year-old son on a beautiful 90-minute cruise around the lake. He was as friendly as they come, knowledgeable, and fantastic with the kids! He was also extremely prepared and made us feel completely comfortable and safe the entire time. We will definitely be going on another cruise with the captain on his Orange Troller!

Absolutely wonderful! Captain Ellis was accommodating to our last minute booking and even invited us to bring lunch on the boat. His commitment to safety first and foremost was much appreciated as we brought little ones and his Dora life jacket won hearts! His knowledge of the lake and fish made for a wonderful experience. He was friendly and welcoming and from the minute we stepped on his boat we knew we were in good hands! Definitely a must stop for anyone visiting LKA! We will book soon again!! Thank you so much!
You don't want to miss this boat tour! Captain Ellis was a great host and he gave an excellent narrative of lake Anna and its history. Due to an error on our part, we arrived late for our sunset cruise, and a bit stressed. Captain Ellis told us to \leave our stress on the dock\ and he made our evening with him a memorable one. The price is very reasonable--it is a fixed price whether you have 1 person in your party or a whole group, and you are only on the boat with your own group or family, which makes it very private. We look forward to another boat cruise the next time we visit Lake Anna!
