I've been a member of NiceRide almost since they started here in the Twin Cities nearly 10 years ago. This season I was excited to see the new Ebikes and was using them quite a lot. But for some reason I would get billing that would not sync up with the amount of rides I was taking, and the new AP was kind of wonky as well. Then there was the lac of contact I could have with the Management including disconnected phone line? So now I just got off the phone with one of their reps and was told that I am not considered a member because I am a NiceRide4all member, so that means I have to pay the docking fees. I've seen some reviews here that refer to the fees as confusing but many of these reviews are from years ago. So to update all of you I thought I would make it well known that NiceRide MN is a sham! If you are gonna make a special membership for those of us who are considered low income then why the hell go ahead and charge us 2 ride fees each time we touch an Ebike? Then turn around and call us Non- Members? It makes no sense at all and after this season I will no longer be using your service.

Great concept but I'm not impressed by the local management.

THE GOOD: I think the idea is great. THE BAD: The signage is less than clear about what you are buying as is the terminal. They charge a fee for unlocking the bike and throw in 30 minutes 'FREE' and then you pay per time block. OOPS...this is not so clear on the signage. THE STORY: I wanted to rent a bike for about 4 hours. I did the math based on the sign and it was going to cost a boatload so I wasn't so sure. Then when I put my card into the terminal it gave two options ... one for a 24 hour access for 6. AWESOME! 6 is cheap, I decided to pay that and save a few buck. I missed the fine print for the word access...it really means you pay 6 for the first 30 minutes and then pay for every increment after that. BIT MORE GOOD: I was very surprised when I saw a 28.50 charge for a 2.5 hour bike ride. When I called they were going to reverse the charges.

Nice ride has been improving each year. I think their memberships are reasonable, and stations are located at convenient locations for me. The bikes are par (in terms of quality) given the large variety of experienced bikers that ride them. I think that it's great!

We rented these for site seeing in St Paul and had a great time. Only request would be more signage. We had a hard time finding locations even when we were really close to them (a sign from the road pointing the right direction would be helpful when the stations aren't roadside)
