Great place to get trained and also for a good evening fun walk. Can rent the boats and kayaks on hourly basis and enjoy the lake and sunsets

️Ted and his crew are wonderful instructors. They take great care of and encourage you. Started with him a few years back having never sailed before and now love it. Relaxing on the water offer, great for ladies night, date night, or family time once you've passed your class. Take a class alone or with a friend and you'll have a blast. There is an amazing and reasonably priced membership program where you've access to a fleet of boats all summer during open hours. Show up, take a boat for a few hours, hit the shore after or before sailing for a meal at many Uptown restaurants within walking distance. Join the social group Three Sheets to the Wind .️ Sailing, takes me away, to where I want to go

I was sailing as far up wind as I could when a gust arrived. I released the main sheet, but the jib sheet slipped from my other hand and water crept over the leeward rail. I tried to turn further upwind, but the cleated jib defied the rudder. As I lunged for the lost sheet the lake poured into cockpit. I vaulted over the windward rail to stand on the centerboard, just to see it slip into its well as the boat turtled. I was right in the middle of Lake Calhoun, unable to right it. Suddenly, a rescue boat! Three saviors hooked a line to the side stay and my mast and sails reappeared. They towed the swamped boat to the dock and pumped out the water. Add 3 more stars from the MSC staff; Nathan, Lizzie and Julia!
