Beautiful grounds, so peaceful. Even though, the mission is not open, there is so much to see. The roses are fabulous, in the spring and summer. If you are lucky, you will see a beautiful bride, and her groom, exiting the church!

It was closed. But a nice walk around the mission. Those were some amazingly tasty grapes. They need to put the \Do Not Eat the Grapes\ sign in front of the vine entrance.

In the heart of downtown SLO, surrounded by restaurants and shops. #5 of the 21 missions, built in 1772. Opened to the public most days from 9-4. This Mission serves as a Parrish, with an active church attendance and services. Admission is a donation of your choice. Enter through the gift shop. View their small museum with a collection of period artifacts. Enter the small church, beautifully painted white, with painted flowers on the walls, and stars on the ceiling. Bring a book, and relax in the well maintained peaceful garden in the courtyard. Check their website for a host of festivals, fairs, and concerts throughout the year. * Local guide hint; Be outside in the plaza at noon, and be serenaded by the big brass bells from the bell tower.

This was the last mission in our mission adventure. We had visited all of the active 21 missions. This was our last and it could not have been a better visit in a awesome city. Its a very modernized mission unlike its surrounding missions in the area but it still looks great. Nice outdoors and good information indoors.
