The new building is much larger and more spacious and the seating is comfortable and the rooms are well lit; thank you for making the investment in building this new court house!

I was instructed to go to the Commissioner's Office to handle a personal matter. I would say try to call first to see if that is the place you need to be - especially with the new systems and policies they have in place due to the virus. It would be nice if, when you enter the building, someone could answer any questions you may have if you cannot immediately walk into the office. I sat, waiting for two people to leave the office instead of just one, for a long while (it could've been worse, but also avoidable). There were people who were turned away because everyone could not enter the building at the same time. Once I got into the office, in under thirty seconds, I was told that I could not handle my conflict there. It could've been easier on me and the people behind me if that could've been said an hour earlier. should've, could've, would've.

Han Torso's \form over function\ review from 5 years ago nails the building design, though the benches are made of stone now, or at least they are on the 4th floor where I waited on two separated occasions. You're better off plunking down on the floor with a wall at your back, especially if you have back problems (but that still won't save you). I was lucky and went on rainy days, so didn't have to deal with sun through the window-walls. The security checkpoint aka \safety theater\ as you enter the building is horribly inconsistent, one time telling me I had to leave my water bottle on the floor by a nearby trash can where other people also left drinks they didn't want to lose, later that day completely ignoring its existence in my bag, and another day telling me I couldn't leave the bottle by the trash can or anything (but I could dump the water into the can and keep the bottle... janitor service must love that). The judges I saw were nice, though, so... eh? Eh.

Called to see where to start about receiving my security deposit after a year of no contact from my landlord, the woman over the phone just told me she can't tell me what I need to do because it's up to me....the point of my call was that I was looking for where to start, not self reflection lol. She gave me the number to get self help.

I have to agree with the person who said this court is lenient towards illegal immigrants as I witnessed it myself at the traffic court. Too lenient. And is not fair.
