Dr. Solway was totally professional and very knowledgeable with my problem. I experience crampy of Right toe and hammer toes...I feel very confident with his diagnosis and future pending surgery..

This guy is the least compasionate and caring medical professional you will ever meet. Couldn't care less about his patients.

Dr. Solway was nice, professional and took care of my problem with only slight discomfort. I would definitely recommend Dr. Solway for foot issues.

What a waste of time and money. He walked in for 30 seconds, couldn't have cared less. Told me nothing. Horrible bedside manner!

I am so disappointed in this doctor...wish I could give zero stars. I came in with swelling in my foot which I knew did not originate from a fracture. I would simply have let it heal on its own, but was newly diagnosed as diabetic type 1, so I wanted to cover all bases. THREE TIMES his assistants told me I needed an x-ray before Dr Solway would see me. I declined each time...I did NOT need the added charge. When he finally saw me, he touched my foot and prescribed prednisone. It lasted about 2 minutes. He charged 247 for the visit and 93 for an x-ray he never took. Hmmm....sounds like the Bone and Joint Institute is running a scam. Now I need to fight the bill. I will never go back there. Ever.

Met Dr Solway for the first time at IBJI in Morton Grove. I waited almost a week to get in, I had an ingrown toenail that waiting that time became infected, even though I soaked daily. As I waited in the room to see him, I could hear in the other room a heated discussion between two men that from the sounds did not sound very pleasant. After 1/2 hour waiting Dr. came in my room, looking at my paperwork and looked at my toe and said briefly what I had and that the whole toenail needed to be removed. Never introduced himself or asked what was going on. I mentioned that is really painful and infected, that possibly if I could have antibiotics for a few days to get the swelling down and then come back for the procedure. He replied \If you think you are a Doctor then go ahead and go home and do it yourself. I bet in a day you will be in an Emergency Room.\ I did not know what to say at that point.. He mentioned he will numb the toe and remove the nail, he would send in a consent form for me to sign for the procedure. He turned around and walked out of the room. Total time in room was maybe 1 minute. As the nurse came in the room with the form I already was walking out the door, upset to what I just experienced. Perhaps his heated argument prior to him coming in my room, upset him that much to take his frustrations out on me. No matter what, I did not deserve that treatment. He mentions he treats his patients like family in his philosophy. I feel bad for his family at this point. I visited another Dr. who immediately put me on antibiotics and said it was best to wait to treat the toe until the infection was better. I was shocked a Dr. could be so cruel and nasty. I would NEVER treat someone the way he talked to me.

I've been seeing Dr. Solway for a couple of years. I met him because I had a knarly toenail issue. It was infected, ingrown and had a fungus (from a nasty pedicure place). He explained that the nail had to go.....numb it up and took it off and kept it off. This was the fifth attempt (from other doc's) removing the nail so his suggestion was to keep it off permanently. Happy with results. Also had Plantar Fasciitisis.....believe me nobody's happy about getting a shot in the foot...but Dr. Solway assured me I would feel 100% after the shot....and I did, didn't have a gangster step after leaving his office. However over time and with conservative treatment.....my foot failed me and surgery was needed. Just had surgery....and I'm pleased with everything from the surgery....even the anaesthetist was fantastic....I came out of surgery feeling great not groggy. Dr. Solway is a great doctor and have sent my mother and a friend to him and they are also pleased with him. The previous review was unnecessary .....i've had several ingrown toenails....if I go to the doctor its because I'm in pain....I go there to get rid of the pain...not to get a script for antibiotics..go to your GP for that. His credentials clearly speak for his work!!
