My 5 star rating is based off of the company and our guide. Kyle was awesome! Kayaking pictured rocks is an amazing experience!! Being so close to something so big and beautiful that was created over millions of years ago by glaciers is breathtaking! We would have received more value from the trip if the weather was much warmer. A few things to consider: we went when it was 45 degrees easily in late Sept. You do get wet (so dress in layers with clothes that are water wicking/dry fit). I would suggest water shoes too because you’ll have to walk in wet beach sand. Having some kayaking experience is helpful but not needed. the guide does not babysit you but will check on you often. It’s NOT easy to tip but it is a strenuous workout. For 3 hours you are paddling mostly against the wind in choppy water.

I chose the 3 hour tour and it was everything I wanted it to be. Very organized, well managed, no hassles. Life jackets are provided and a short bus trip to the beach gets you started. Our guide Johnny Tsunami was awesome. As a single, I ended up sharing a kayak with Johnny and we had great conversation throughout. The weather was perfect and we were able to see the shipwreck as well. It couldn't have been better.

Picturesque cliff faces along an easy 3 or 6 hour paddle. The staff was fun and informative. We took advantage of their in-house dog kennels. Well done!

I did the dinner cruise. Was an awesome experience. Dave was an excellent tour guide. Fun and full of knowledge. If it rains right before your cruise, don’t let it discourage you. It poured before our cruise, but got sunny about 10 minutes into the cruise. This allowed us to see dozens and dozens of waterfalls. Dave said it’s unusual for there to be so many, but the downpour allowed it! Also saw several bald eagles. Would recommend wearing long pants or using bug spray (if it works on them) to help prevent bites from the black flies.

Great Boat Captain Dave! Have not had a chance to go this year yet but will be soon. Going around Gran Island is a great trip! You're way out in Lake Superior but hugging the edge of the island. Very nice crew on a huge pontoon with a small group of people. Very Fun!
