Marie is a hidden treasure in this city - beyond talented with a deep understanding of her craft (she's trained at FIT), a pleasure to work with, and reasonably priced. I found her through Yelp reviews for a bridesmaid dress I needed pretty extensive alterations on. She reworked the bust area, took the waist out, and shortened all 3 layers of the dress, taking care to suggest & implement a subtle fishtail hem, a detail I so appreciate. The turnaround was quick, just one week, and her apartment is warm, clean, & welcoming. I'll be coming back soon for future tailoring needs & cannot recommend Marie enough.

Marie was beyond amazing in helping me with my wedding dress fitting. Me being the dummy I am, ordered a wedding dressing from ASOS not realizing I was buying it in UK sizes, which meant my dress was 4 sizes too small. I exercised myself to death in order to fit in the dress and was still unable to. Marie saw my frustration and the tears in my eyes and assured me everything would be ok. Luckily there was enough fabric to let out the dress. Also, since my straps were too long, she shortened those and used the beading from the straps to fix the band that goes around the waist so it doesn't look like anything was touched on the dress (see photo). Additionally, I had a co-worker that needed a beaded dress hemmed so I sent her to Marie. My co-worker was extremely impressed with Marie's work as her dress was very beaded and hemming it would be complicated. You would be a fool to not use Marie for your alterations!
I cannot say enough great things about Marie at My Metro Fit. She was lovely to work with and explained all the alterations in detail for me. My dress had to have the bodice underneath a layer of mesh altered, so it was quite a bit of work, but it fit like a dream after. Marie really goes above and beyond with such grace - I highly recommend working with her!
Marie was absolutely amazing! I got a last minute dress due to the delays of COVID and she was able to do beautiful alterations within a week. It was an astonishing turn around time with even better results. She really takes the time to make sure the bride is happy and her results reflect the care she takes for her craftsmanship. She made me feel like a princess on one of the most important days of my life. I will be coming back to her for any future occasion and have already been recommending her to friends who have come to use her services who are all pleased with her work. I am so lucky to have found her as my go-to tailor for any clothing need.
I feel very lucky to have found Marie and I wish I had found her sooner so I could have gotten a custom made dress. I came to Marie with a dress I already had doubts on (and it was too late to return) and feeling a little down with the style that I had chosen. Marie changed all of my doubts and made my dress perfect for me. Marie works from home and I very much preferred her place rather than an overpriced boutique with catty/mean employees and sharing appointment times with bridezillas. With Marie, you get one-on-one sessions. Marie is so talented. She not only alters your clothing to your specifications but she also makes custom dresses, veils and other accessories. I was unsure about getting a veil but wanted to have one on hand just in case I change my mind last minute so Marie whipped one up. Her apartment/work space is also pristine so you don't have to worry about getting your clothes coming back dirty. I dropped my dress off mid-December of last year, had 2 fittings and my wedding dress was ready by mid-March (2 weeks prior to my wedding). Mind you, I had a dress that was 3-4 sizes too big, and just looked and felt like a big sack before Marie worked her magic on it. Marie, thank you for accommodating my requests, executing them properly and making this nervous bride at ease! I definitely would like to get a custom made dress from Marie one day and come back for any alteration needs. Please please please, check her out! You won't regret it.
Marie was amazing - she had my dress ready in 24 hours and was very accommodating regarding the price. She did really great work very quickly and was very fair with the price. Highly recommend coming here for any alterations you need and I would def use her for any tailoring needs in the future!
Marie was excellent!! I had a short window between when I got my dress and my wedding. Marie was so accommodating and quickly turned around my alterations with wiggle room in case more tweaks were needed. She was so kind, did an excellent job and I highly recommend her!
Marie is amazing! She tailored my sequined evening gown and made it fit like a glove. She has a great attention to detail and even made extra alterations to the dress to make sure I was happy.
