Joyce was a super nice, friendly, accommodating host. She made sure we knew everything we needed to know about staying in the home. It is true, she stays in the garage attached to the house but not once did she just pop in while staying there for three nights. We went tubing in the wolf river and she offered to let our dogs out as we would be away for a few hours. We are very grateful for her hospitality. She was clear with expectations of us, but made sure we knew that it was our place for the weekend. Just be respectful and you shouldn’t have any problems. :) I do agree that some of the place could have been a little bit cleaner, but nothing was so gross that we felt dirty staying here. Bed linens were clean, shower was clean, etc. there were some dust bunnies and dog hair when we arrived as well as some carpet stains but I feel that is to be expected in a rental. It’s a smaller house on river that’s a little bit older, my grandparents lake house had well water too that stained surfaces. Joyce recently had surgery so I am sure it limits her ability to do certain cleaning activities. Overall a pleasant experience and worth the money! Would consider staying here again.

The house is very run down, ancient dirty carpeting, moldy shower mat, water damage in multiple areas of ceilings/walls, ancient grease build-up above cooktop, no smoke or carbon monoxide detector, I could add more....the owner lives in attached garage and there is nothing but a normal wood door between house & the garage (you can hear every word of owner's telephone calls) but suffice it to say-- save your money, stay elsewhere. This place only takes checks because if it took credit cards people probably would run away and demand a refund. I am very sorry to have to report this, but I stayed here, and if I had any alternative I would have run away.
This is a nice place to vacation! The river is in the backyard, so nice to wake up to. The house is very neat and clean, and plenty to do around the area. The owner is a very nice person, and makes u feel at home. I would recommend this vacation home a BIG 10 for sure!!!!
