My son and I did 2 pottery wheel classes with Miss Sharon. She has an incredible teaching style, with great cues that make you successful the very first lesson! We had so much fun that we’re going back for a few more lessons. We are so very lucky to have this incredible creative outlet here in New Milford.

We are so grateful to have this art center in our town. My daughter has volunteered here as an instructor and I’ve taken my first private lesson with Sharon. She was wonderful, patient thoughtful and an incredible instructor. My daughter and I go there frequently to do open studio: to either throw a pot or to hand sculpt.

I had an amazing experience at Village Center for the Arts. Last night my husband and I took a hand building class with Sharon and Dianne. It was the perfect night out where we got to create our very own mug, from rolling the clay to designing and putting every piece together. Sharon was so much fun to learn from and the class was perfectly instructed. I highly recommend Village Center of the Arts to anyone who wants to learn drawing, pottery, jewelry and art in general. The atmosphere is incredible and the instructors are friendly and knowledgeable to everyone who wants to be part of it. I love how involved they are with the community and how they guide everyone who enters to express themselves. I will be back with my whole family because this has become one of my favorite places to visit. I certainly can't wait to see my finished product. Now let's talk about the talent and decor -The moment you enter the studio you breathe art from any point you look. My favorite is the residual wall that has been built over the years and plays a fundamental part within the essence of the studio. Wow, the time it has taken to build it, along with the collective effort makes it a great piece of work. I invite you to come and visit Village Centers for the Arts where you will fall in love with every aspect of it. I loved being able to see other students at a previous class work on their projects with Betty Ann.

The VCA has been a huge influence in the creative growth of our 3 children. They started going for open studio when they were toddlers, attended camp through their teenage years, and continue to rely on Ms. Sharon and the staffs creative expertise through studio time or private lessons when trying to perfect their pottery or acrylic painting skills. Every artist who walks through their doors is celebrated for their creativity. It is truly a special place.
