Just re-opened on April 4th. If you're hankering for a tropical libation, there's no better place than L29! Beach bum Berry and Annene are stellar hosts. Don't forget the food menu! The chow pairs perfectly to those wonderful drinks.

Great spot for a unique selection of mixed drinks! A little bit of a quiet environment given all of the social distancing requirements but still a great vibe. The bartenders are very knowledgeable and will not disappoint.
Best rum drinks in New Orleans! And that's saying a lot for a city who's signature drinks are hurricanes and rum punches. Their specialty drink menu is extremely impressive. Top shelf rums, local & imported. All the cocktails are very well crafted, no sugary mixes like the tourist spots on Bourbon. I've had the Rum Barrel, Pouka Punch, Latitude 29, and Jungle Bird, and they're seriously all top notch. Very nice vibe inside, low lit, tropical tiki bar feel. A great escape in the hot New Orleans summer. The bartenders are all friendly, and very knowledgeable. I thought I knew my rums, but they definitely taught me a thing or 2 lol. The food here is phenomenal. Possibly some of the best shrimp n grits in the 504, and I promise i'm not exaggerating. I've been back since covid, and they're definitely following all precautions to give you a safe feel. Tables are spread out & everyone is masked up properly. Always a great experience here, highly recommended!
Wonderful, friendly ,helpful staff . Everything here has a nice flavor profile . It was very unique and the mushroom dumplings were . Will return !
The Bum has me seriously bummed out. I own nearly all his books. I revere his importance in the hierarchy of Tiki gods when it comes to his bringing Tiki back to life. I had been looking forward to coming here since the opening. I suppose that I could grade 100% on the drinks. For that, Latitude 29 does a good job. However, these days a lot of places put together a lot of good drinks. Even if the bum was making it in the bar in front of me, it's hard to beat having Paul McGee make me drinks he'd been experimenting with in a bar that's multiple times as cool. Sorry dude. In one way, I can understand having big plate glass windows in front, but let's be honest, you only have to look at the pictures to see that the daytime shots are of a place that only marginally looks Tiki. The night ones look pretty good. We were quickly shunted into the boring side room. The drinks good. However, I never felt I was anyplace doing things other than by the number. For people not into Tiki enough to know who Jeff Berry or Paul McGee are, the drinks are great, but the atmosphere at many other places is better.
Great drinks OK service. My friends and I are huge tiki bar fans so we knew when we were in New Orleans we would have to make a stop here! The drinks were great be sure to try the (NAVY GROG) we were in town for the holidays so we got to try some of the sippin’ Santa menu so good. Would have given it five stars had our waiter Jeffrey not seem so irritated that we were there I will note that we got to the bar at around 8 PM so it’s not like it was last call, it really killed the fun relaxed vibe that we go to tiki bars for.
This is definitely like Mecca for me. I've been interested in Polynesian cocktails for a while and getting to Jeff Berry's bar was a real thrill for me. I went on a Sunday to take advantage of the happy hour and indulged in two cocktails, some chicken wings and some green beans. Both cocktails were absolutely delicious with the right amount of sweet, sour, and spice to make it nice. The green beans were a delight and the chicken wings cooked to perfection. The guy serving was a treasure and made the whole experience even better. What a great way to spend an afternoon!!
Tiki Drink Excellence! What a great place to spend an hour or two with friends. Every drink we tried was fantastic and exceeded our expectations. Snack menu items were also delicious. (We especially enjoyed the fries.) Wonderful Tiki themed atmosphere. Helpful and friendly staff. Multiple seating options: cozy booths, regular tables/chairs, high tables, and a bar. Clean restrooms. Connected to hotel at rear of bar. Parking was a little difficult to find, but we discovered the paid lot across the street.
