Fun experience. Simon our guide set us(4ppl) a couple of ice climbing options. He helped us with boot fitting and crampons. A lot of tips to pick up on the way. He showed us technique for ice climbing and tool usage. Very beneficial just the one time to go.

Great experience ice climbing. Everything went smoothly from the time we arrived at Rock and Snow to get our equipment until the time we finished climbing. Simon was a great guide who got everyone in our family climbing up some great ice. We can't wait until we do it again. Marty was very responsive to any question we had prior to going.
Went with 4 friends for two days of ice climbing in the Catskills. Had a blast! I didn't require any rental gear but the others did and from what I saw it seemed like the guides where very helpful finding the right sizes and fit for my buddies. Also the rental gear was all quality equipment, not the bargain basement junk you'd expect for rental gear. Black diamond, LaSportiva, Cassin etc. The guides themselves where great. Answered all our questions and gave advice freely. Excellent climbers themselves and safety was the first concern at every step of our day on the ice. I plan on going back and as a person who has climbed with guides for many years I was very pleased with Alpine Endeavors.
I've ice climbed with them a few times now and have always had a great and safe time and learned a lot. Some friends and I just spent a weekend with them and got to try a variety of climbing from easy to steep and mixed climbs. They really did well at tailoring each day to fit our abilities.
I book trips with Alpine Endeavors a couple times every year and am never disappointed. They've proven to be flexible, work around my last minute scheduling requests (when it's within their capacity), and their guides are excellent. Best part about going out with AE guides is that it allows me to elevate my climbing skills, and pushes me to step up and out of my comfort zone in a very safe manner.
